What are the requirements to register?
To register, you’ll need a Level 2 or above Early Years qualification or 600+ hours of UK childcare experience in an Early Years setting. You can start your registration by sending us your CV or downloading the ACR App.
What type of work can I get through ACR?
We offer flexible nursery shifts, long-term block bookings, and permanent roles across the UK. You can choose what suits your lifestyle best.
How often will I get shifts?
That depends on your availability and the demand in your area. Many of our candidates work full weeks, while others prefer a few days. With 15+ towns covered, we usually have regular opportunities.
Can I choose the hours or days I work?
Yes, flexibility is one of our biggest benefits. You let us know when you’re available, and we’ll match you to suitable placements.
How and when will I be paid?
You’ll be paid directly into your bank account every week if you work with us on a flexible basis. Pay rates vary depending on your role, qualifications, and experience.
Do you cover travel expenses?
Generally, travel expenses are not covered, but many candidates work in local nurseries close to home. We’ll always aim to match you with settings nearby.
Do you provide training?
Yes! We provide access to mandatory courses (Safeguarding, First Aid, Whistleblowing, Food Allergy & Food Hygiene) as well as CPD through NoodleNow, so you can continue to grow your skills.
What happens if I can’t attend a shift?
We understand things happen. Just let us know as soon as possible so we can inform the nursery and find cover.
Can I get a permanent job through ACR?
Definitely. Many of our candidates start with flexible shifts and go on to secure permanent nursery roles through us.
Which areas do you cover?
We currently cover 15+ towns across the Midlands and beyond. You can check our coverage map on the website.
Do I need references to register?
Yes, we’ll need at least two professional references, ideally from your most recent childcare employers.
Do you have work outside of nurseries?
All of our roles are in nurseries with children aged 0–5.
How do I use the ACR App?
Our free app makes it simple to manage your profile, update your timesheets, apply for jobs, and get compliant, all from your phone.
What if I’m newly qualified?
If you’ve recently completed your Level 2 or Level 3 qualification, we’d still love to hear from you. As long as your qualification is on our list, we are happy to onboard you, but please bear in mind that we need at least two professional references.
