Nursery Manager – Oxfordshire 

Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 40 hours per week
Salary: Up to £55,000 per year (depending on experience and qualifications)
Location: Oxfordshire 
Setting Size: 100+ children, 50+ staff members

About the Role:

An exceptional leadership opportunity to manage a large, prestigious nursery setting with 100+ children and a team of 50 staff members. This non-ratio, non-office-based role focuses predominantly on developing staff practice and enhancing the quality of provision on a daily basis.

What We're Looking For:

Essential:

  • Level 3 or above in Early Years/Childcare (UK recognised)
  • Proven experience managing large nursery settings (100+ children preferred)
  • Strong track record of leading and developing large teams (30+ staff)
  • Comprehensive understanding of EYFS, Ofsted requirements, and safeguarding
  • Excellent strategic leadership and organizational skills
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and operational management of a large nursery
  • Lead, develop, and mentor a team of 50 staff members
  • Ensure consistently outstanding EYFS provision across multiple rooms
  • Oversee safeguarding, compliance, and Ofsted standards
  • Drive continuous improvement in staff practice and provision quality
  • Manage staff recruitment, training, and development programs
  • Build strong relationships with parents, families, and stakeholders
  • Oversee curriculum development and assessment processes
  • Monitor and manage budgets and resources effectively
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead
