Job Description

ACR Recruitment and Training are seeking a permanent Deputy Manager/ Preschool Lead for our prestigious client in Coventry and surrounding area.

The Successful Candidate will be Responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality care and education for children aged 0-5 years.
  • Lead the Preschool team and ensure consistent delivery of the EYFS framework.
  • Support and deputise for the Manager in their absence.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals.
  • Oversee daily operations and manage staff effectively to maintain standards.

Job Purpose:

  • Maintain accurate learning journals and development records for key children.
  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of care, learning, and resources within the nursery.
  • Conduct staff supervisions, support professional development, and foster a positive team culture.
  • Take on additional responsibilities, such as SENCO, safeguarding, or health & safety coordination.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including answering queries, managing risk assessments, and ensuring hygiene and safety standards.
  • Represent the nursery professionally, providing tours and promoting its reputation to potential customers.

Required Experience

  • 2-3 years of previous experience as a Deputy Manager in a nursery setting.
  • Proven ability to manage the nursery in the Manager's absence.
  • Experience in leading a Preschool team.

Working Hours:

  • Hours per Week: 40 hours, 5 days a week (can accommodate 4.5 days if required).
  • Term Time/All Year Round: All year round.

Shift Patterns:

  • 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM
  • 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (preferred)
