ACR Recruitment & Training LTD are looking for an experienced CNC Turner setter operator, or our Engineering client based in Coventry to help strengthen their team.
This is permanent position starting immediately for the successful candidate. Working hours are: Monday to Thursday - 7:30am to 4:30pm ; Pay Friday - 7:30am to 12:30pm The pay range is £15 - £16 per hour depending on experience .
As an Experienced CNC Turning Machine Setter/Operator within the turning section
duties will include:
- Setting, and operating machines using proven programs
- Setting, and operating machines to prove new programs
- Editing of programs
- Interpretation of drawings and 3D digital files
- Produce prototypes / small production runs
- Carry out inspection of your work (CMM and Manual)
- Maintain clean and tidy stations
- Produce work of a high standard by adhering to quality standards to ensure that product is produced to agreed specifications.
- Training Other members of the Turning section in setting machines
- Maintain a good working relationship with colleagues to promote successful teamwork. Experience Required Time served / equivalent experience in a precision machining company
Relevant Engineering Qualification
- Ideally Apprentice Trained
- Competent in Fanuc controls
(ESSENTIAL)
- Competent in CNC Thread Machining
- Strong understanding of Fanuc programs with ability to edit, re-run tools etc.
- Able to move offsets
- Able to prove unproven programs, safely
- Competent in inspecting own work using CMMs and gauges to verify product quality
- Conversant with Lynx and Doosan machinery (Preferable)
- CAM experience (Preferable)
- Working to tight tolerances
- Experience of working with a wide range of materials including , Inconel, titanium, mild steels, brass, aluminum-bronze, bronzes, alumininum, plastics, super duplex etc.
- Ability to work under pressure with attention to detail
